This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Prepare and evaluate General Ledgers, Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, depreciation schedules, along with supporting workpapers and files for managerial review.
• Prepare and file Income Tax Returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and partnerships.
• Manage intricate taxation issues, including Division 7A loans, trust distribution resolutions, income tax reconciliations, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and Small Business Concessions.
• Create monthly Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Assist with taxation issues including Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), GST, and other compliance responsibilities.
• Review client accounting records in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online, and LodgeiT to produce timely management reports.
• Oversee complete job lifecycles from work-in-progress through review, client sign-off, and final submission.
• Coordinate with the Accounting Operations Manager, Partners, clients, or Administration team to ensure timely completion.
• Adhere to budgeted hours, accurately complete timesheets, and report any potential delays or budget overruns.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of workflows and processes.
• Serve as a role model for compliance and best practices for junior team members.
• Establish and nurture trusting client relationships while addressing routine client inquiries and minor accounting/system issues.
• Escalate complex or technical issues that necessitate formal advice.
• Assist with the maintenance of the ASIC corporate register and document management.
• 5–8 years of experience in accounting and business services, including a minimum of 3 years of Australian taxation experience within an Australian accounting firm environment.
• CPA qualification (or an equivalent professional credential) is highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of multiple clients across various entity types.
• Proficient in Xero (Business, Workpapers, Xero Tax), LodgeiT, MYOB, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Familiarity with Practice Management systems such as Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and FYI Docs is preferred but not essential.
• Outstanding organizational abilities, strong attention to detail, and a proven track record of prioritizing tasks and meeting strict statutory deadlines.
• High level of initiative, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills; open to learning new processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to build rapport with clients, Partners, and internal teams across different time zones.
• Capacity to work collaboratively under the guidance of the Accounting Operations Manager, follow established workflows, and contribute to ongoing improvement.
