📋 Description

• Act as a strategic recruiting consultant to leaders in technology, data, product, security, and other areas of the business.

• Oversee the entire recruitment process for intricate and specialized positions, from intake and role calibration to sourcing, screening, interviews, selection, offer strategy, closing, and onboarding transition.

• Collaborate with hiring managers and People Business Partners to establish job scope, levels, competencies, qualifications, interview strategies, scorecards, and job-marketing language.

• Create proactive sourcing strategies for both active and passive candidates utilizing direct sourcing, talent communities, referrals, professional networks, niche platforms, universities, events, social channels, and search partners.

• Build and sustain diverse, high-quality pipelines, talent maps, and relationships for recurring and challenging technical hiring requirements.

• Comprehend and convey the capabilities needed for roles in software engineering, cloud and platform engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, product, and quality engineering.

• Design or enhance structured candidate evaluation methodologies, including recruiter screens, technical assessments, coding evaluations, interview panels, competency-based questions, and debrief processes.

• Responsibly utilize recruiting technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to enhance sourcing, research, communication, workflow quality, and decision-making support.

• Evaluate labor-market trends, competitor activities, compensation, talent availability, and pipeline data to guide leaders on hiring feasibility, trade-offs, timing, and necessary actions.

• Track the health of the recruiting funnel and provide updates on pipeline quality, conversion rates, aging, risks, diversity outreach, candidate experience, and overall progress.

• Advise on offer strategies and closing; collaborate with Compensation, People Business Partners, immigration counsel, and leadership for approvals, negotiations, and compliant hiring decisions.

• Ensure accurate candidate and requisition data in iCIMS and other approved systems.

• Represent Mercury’s culture, mission, and employee value proposition in interactions with candidates and at external events.

• Identify process inefficiencies and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives that boost recruiting effectiveness, assessment quality, compliance, speed, and candidate experience.

• Share knowledge through peer mentoring, creating recruiting playbooks, knowledge transfer, and cross-functional projects.

• Stay updated on recruiting trends, technical skill advancements, employment practices, and applicable regulations; manage confidential information with discretion.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of progressively responsible experience in full-cycle recruiting, with substantial background in recruiting for technical, data, product, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or other specialized roles.

• Proven experience working directly with hiring managers and senior leaders in complex, fast-paced, or geographically dispersed environments.

• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruiting technologies, sourcing platforms, and analytics or reporting tools related to recruiting.

• Proficiency in sourcing, engaging, evaluating, and securing technical and hard-to-find talent across various markets and skill sets.

• Capability to translate technical requirements into clear, inclusive, market-relevant job descriptions and candidate evaluation standards.

• Strong understanding of structured interviewing, technical assessment methods, candidate experience, fair hiring principles, and recruiting compliance expectations.

• Competence in utilizing talent-market research, recruiting metrics, funnel analytics, and compensation insights.

• Expertise with iCIMS or a comparable ATS; LinkedIn or similar sourcing tools; Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; and virtual collaboration platforms.

• Ability to responsibly employ automation and AI-enabled recruiting tools, ensuring accuracy, bias mitigation, confidentiality, and human oversight.

• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

• Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to operate autonomously, exercise sound judgment, adapt to changing business needs, and maintain confidentiality.

• Commitment to inclusive recruiting practices and the ability to foster relationships with diverse candidates and talent communities.

• May require occasional travel for business meetings, recruiting events, conferences, or other talent-attraction initiatives.

• Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, AIRS, or similar relevant recruiting/HR certifications.

• Preferred: Over 8 years of technical or specialized recruiting experience.

• Preferred: Experience in recruiting within Property & Casualty insurance, financial services, regulated industries, or other environments with complex technology and data requirements.
