Senior Systems Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical leader for small to medium-sized engineering development teams.

• Execute full life-cycle systems engineering activities, which include system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation, formal testing, and software installation.

• Collaborate with systems engineering subject matter experts to address critical technical challenges with innovative solutions.

• Participate in software development initiatives focused on multi-sensor and information fusion, networked situational awareness, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and visualization technologies.

• Travel to customer locations as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a lead systems or test engineer on a software development project.

• Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

• Capability to obtain and retain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• An active and existing DoD Secret security clearance is required from day one.

• Preferred experience with Link 16 Tactical Data Link, Command and Control, Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems, Combat/Fire Control Systems, Aegis, or SSDS Mk II.

• Experience with systems-of-systems software integration and testing across Linux, Windows, virtual machines, and containers is preferred.

• Familiarity with Java, C++, Linux shells, PowerShell, and Python is preferred.

• Experience with on-site customer software installation, systems integration, formal software qualification tests, and demonstrations is preferred.

• Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Unified Modeling Language (UML) is preferred.

• Knowledge of requirements development and experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS is preferred.

• Understanding of system architecture design and experience with tools like Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or Rational Suite is preferred.

• Familiarity with systems engineering concepts, practices, and procedures under ISO/IEC/IEEE is preferred.
