Senior Systems Software Engineer, Containers, Kubernetes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Investigate creative methods to simplify the development, deployment, and monitoring of GPU-accelerated applications.

• Facilitate the use of GPUs as primary resources within container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with the core team on Cloud Native technologies that enable NVIDIA accelerators in the Kubernetes ecosystem.

• Partner with engineering teams throughout NVIDIA to guarantee seamless software integration across the entire stack.

• Manage multiple tracks simultaneously to adapt to shifting priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 8 years of pertinent work experience.

• Expert-level proficiency in a systems programming language (Go, C).

• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.

• In-depth knowledge of Container Orchestration Systems (K8s) and Container Technology.

• Familiarity and experience with the System internals of the Linux Operating System.

• Solid background in Cloud Computing as well as Distributed Software design and development.

• Insight into performance, security, and reliability within complex distributed systems.

• Extensive experience with the Go programming language, Containers, and Kubernetes.

• Recent active involvement and consistent technical contributions to CNCF and Kubernetes SIG projects.

• Familiarity with the K8s Operator framework, Container Device Interface (CDI), and Dynamic Resource Allocation (DRA).
