Senior Systems Engineer, ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee hardware systems, their corresponding operating systems, and connectivity features.

• Monitor, evaluate, and strategize upgrades to guarantee sufficient system capacity and availability.

• Offer technical guidance and support for computing systems and system integration processes.

• Perform and present analyses related to performance and capacity.

• Maintain extensive knowledge of NMHC IT server and distributed systems.

• Identify and coordinate the resolution of problems in collaboration with vendors and manufacturers.

• Address customer inquiries and foster relationships until issues are resolved.

• Assist application teams with project-related tasks and support initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with customers and members of the IS team.

• Evaluate technology projects and assess business requirements.

• Suggest system modifications, draft technical specifications, and execute changes.

• Create project plans, define scopes, estimate efforts, establish timelines, and set standards.

• Develop and uphold local area network standards, policies, and procedures.

• Engage in technology planning activities.

• Incorporate vendor and manufacturer technical expertise into NMHC operations.

• Mentor team members and application teams.

• Contribute to the IS Knowledge Repository.

• Provide on-call support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the core discipline.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in the core discipline within the healthcare sector is preferred.

• On-call support provision is mandatory.

• Successful candidates must complete authorization and disclosure forms for a criminal-history background check if offered the position.

• Adherence to relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory and accreditation standards is required.
