Senior Systems Engineer, ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Ensure that hardware systems, their respective operating systems, and connectivity features remain fully functional and seamlessly integrated within the NMHC IT environment.

• Oversee, assess, and strategize upgrades to guarantee sufficient capacity and availability.

• Maintain a high level of technical expertise for the assigned services and systems.

• Offer technical leadership and assistance for computing systems and systems integration.

• Conduct, evaluate, recommend, and deliver analyses on performance and capacity.

• Retain a comprehensive understanding of NMHC IT server/distributed systems.

• Identify and coordinate problem-solving and resolution efforts with vendors and manufacturers.

• Address customer needs, foster customer relationships, and ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily.

• Assist application teams in project and support endeavors.

• Engage with and communicate effectively within project teams.

• Assess technology projects, analyze business needs, suggest system modifications, draft technical specifications, and implement enhancements.

• Recognize and apply NMHC best-practice standards.

• Formulate project plans and collaborate with project managers on scope, effort estimations, schedules, and plans.

• Set and uphold standards, policies, and procedures for local area networks.

• Participate in both long-term and short-term technology planning initiatives.

• Incorporate vendor, manufacturer, and specialized technical knowledge into NMHC operations.

• Mentor team members and assist application team members.

• Contribute to the IS Knowledge Repository.

• Provide necessary on-call support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in the core discipline.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.

• More than 5 years of experience in the core discipline within the healthcare industry is preferred.

• On-call support provision is mandatory.

• Ability to adhere to applicable policies, procedures, guidelines, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

• Successful completion of a criminal-history background check is required upon hiring.

• Authorization and disclosure form must be filled out for the background check.
