Senior Systems Engineer, ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Ensure hardware systems, along with their respective operating systems and connectivity features, are fully operational and seamlessly integrated within the healthcare IT environment.

• Oversee, evaluate, and strategize upgrades to guarantee sufficient capacity and availability.

• Maintain a high level of technical proficiency for designated services and systems.

• Offer technical guidance and support for computing systems and their integration.

• Perform and deliver analyses on performance and capacity.

• Keep an extensive understanding of server and distributed systems.

• Diagnose issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors and manufacturers.

• Address customer needs and manage issues until resolution.

• Assist application teams with project-related and support activities.

• Engage in communication with both customers and team members.

• Establish strategies for system-to-network connectivity and interfacing.

• Evaluate technology projects, analyze business requirements, suggest modifications, draft technical specifications, and execute system alterations.

• Create project plans, define scopes, establish schedules, and estimate efforts.

• Set and uphold standards, policies, and procedures for local area networks.

• Take part in technology planning initiatives.

• Integrate knowledge from vendors, manufacturers, and subject-matter experts.

• Mentor team members and application team colleagues.

• Contribute to the IS Knowledge Repository.

• Provide on-call support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in the core discipline.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

• Preferred: More than 5 years of experience in the core discipline within the healthcare sector.

• Capability to provide on-call support.

• Adherence to organizational policies, procedures, regulatory mandates, and accreditation standards.
