This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on public sector and defense opportunities, which includes discovery, territory planning, solution direction, and advancing deals through the sales funnel.
• Serve as a senior technical lead, offering mentorship and technical guidance to junior Systems Engineers.
• Convert customer requirements into technical architectures, proposals, sizing, quotes, and solution concepts.
• Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and follow-up sessions for government, defense, and defense industrial base clients.
• Facilitate and mentor channel partner SEs through workshops, bootcamps, and collaborative customer engagements.
• Assess technical compatibility across storage architecture, protocols, virtualization, infrastructure, security, and resilience needs.
• Work in conjunction with Systems Engineering, Sales, Partners, Support, Product, and other internal teams.
• Engage in internal training, pipeline reviews, technical enablement, and knowledge sharing activities.
• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in pre-sales, systems engineering, solution architecture, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
• Experience should ideally encompass public sector, defense, or defense industrial base clientele.
• Strong understanding of storage and infrastructure fundamentals.
• Knowledge of block, file, and object storage.
• Familiarity with FC, iSCSI, NAS, SAN, virtualization, and VMware-style environments.
• Understanding of UK government and defense procurement frameworks, such as G-Cloud and Crown Commercial Service frameworks.
• Awareness of security classifications and accreditation processes.
• Capability to lead consultative technical discovery and engage with senior customers, prospects, and partners.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in technical discovery and qualification skills.
• Experience working with or through channel partners and defense industrial base primes and SMEs.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through.
• Successful completion of enhanced UK Government security vetting is mandatory.
