Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain IBM mainframe and associated infrastructure technologies.

• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security.

• Lead the technical troubleshooting and resolution of intricate system issues.

• Plan and carry out infrastructure upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.

• Develop and uphold system documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and support teams.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess requirements and propose technology solutions.

• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, regulatory mandates, and industry best practices.

• Participate in project planning, solution architecture, and customer interactions as required.

• Support the reliability, security, and ongoing advancement of the organization's mainframe platform and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in supporting enterprise mainframe environments.

• Strong understanding of IBM zSystems, z/OS, storage, networking, and related technologies.

• Experience with performance tuning, automation, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work efficiently in a collaborative setting.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
