Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement and support the execution of a comprehensive Cybersecurity program at the Agency level.

• Develop, manage, and execute processes leveraging the RSA Archer tools platform.

• Act as the subject matter expert in security engineering, focusing on the planning, design, and architecture of multi-technology cyber solutions.

• Analyze root causes of security issues, troubleshoot challenges, restore services, and carry out remediation recommendations.

• Provide guidance and support for security initiatives while fostering relationships with essential personnel.

• Document and communicate security information and event management to management.

• Remotely oversee and troubleshoot workstations and servers.

• Conduct expert-level research and analysis to assist in the expansion of programs and responsibilities.

• Evaluate information assurance and security requirements based on user needs, policies, regulations, and resource demands.

• Assess security features of system architectures and carry out management and coordination activities.

• Offer agency guidance regarding NIST, FISMA, Agency Information Security and Privacy policies, and Cloud Guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience showcasing strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities in security information and event management.

• A minimum of 5 years in security roles, with at least 2 years dedicated to security engineering tasks.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance.

• Public Trust - Citizenship Required.

• Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, and Cloud environments.

• Possession of a Security+ Certification.

• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
