Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Deliver technology and product consulting along with technical sales assistance for account opportunities.

• Conduct high-level and detailed technical presentations for clients, prospects, and Extreme channel partners.

• Assist with RFI/RFP submissions.

• Organize and oversee Proof of Concept initiatives.

• Design solutions that align with customer needs.

• Serve as a specialist on designated virtual teams and engage in additional team activities.

• Travel domestically and internationally as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with the market in The Netherlands.

• Exceptional presentation abilities and fluency in English.

• Proven track record in pre-sales engineering within the industry and territory in a comparable role.

• Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 switching.

• Knowledge of IPv4/v6 routing principles.

• Familiarity with overlay networking and VPNs.

• Understanding of Wi-Fi operations and design.

• Knowledge of network security fundamentals.

• Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-based network management platforms is a plus.

• Understanding of compute and network virtualization principles is advantageous.

• Familiarity with network management and orchestration software is beneficial.

• Knowledge of SD-WAN is a plus.

• Experience with automation scripting and APIs is advantageous.

• Ability to collaborate on customer project teams, design and PoC labs, establish successful PoC criteria, and create solution designs.

• Capacity to build and sustain customer and partner relationships as a trusted advisor.

• Willingness to take on a team-lead role when additional account-team resources are required.

• Experience working with partners is essential for providing technical product training.

• Background with major accounts and experience in closing deals.

• Ability to showcase knowledge of emerging trends and market directions.

• Capability to assist with customer evaluations, demonstrations, and comprehensive design requirements.

• General hands-on lab experience is a plus.

• Extreme Networks certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

• Recognized industry certifications are an advantage.
