Senior Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Facilitate enhancements and introduce new functionalities for a vital business application within the Claims portfolio.

• Conduct systems analysis for diverse product initiatives.

• Develop a backlog of system requirements that can be assigned to developers.

• Ensure thorough reviews of requirements, design, and code.

• Assist in planning SIT and UAT testing as well as releases.

• Collaborate closely with business analysts, business owners, QA, application architects, developers, product managers, project managers, and other team members.

• Support application operations by responding to operational, production, and ad-hoc requests.

• Utilize current and emerging technologies to enhance business application solutions, integrations, and data movement across distributed applications.

• Develop comprehensive designs and resolutions for operational and production incident support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Information Technology, or Technical Certification and/or College Courses along with 6 years of Information Technology experience, or 8 years of experience in Information Technology.

• Familiarity with application configuration.

• Knowledge or experience in Claims processing and its components.

• Acquaintance with Big Data Analytics - HAVeN / HADOOP / Autonomy / Vertica.

• Understanding of Cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies.

• Proficiency in Integration Technologies - Tibco / Informatica / CAS.

• Knowledge of Mobile technologies - Phonegap / iOS / Android / Java / HTML5.

• Experience with Scripting Languages - BASH / PERL / PYTHON / RUBY.

• Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture - SOAP / REST.

• Skills in Web Technologies - HTML / CSS / Java / ASP.Net / PHP / Ruby / C#.

• Experience in rapid prototyping.

• Proficiency in requirements definition & management.

• Knowledge of SDLC Methodology - Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development.

• Skills in system performance management.

• Ability for conceptual thinking.

• Proficient in creative thinking.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field in Information Technology.

• Solid understanding of current and emerging technologies for business application solutions, integrations, and data movement with existing distributed applications.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and adapt effectively to change.

• Exposure to data integration, data mapping, and transformation needs with distributed applications.

• Capability to create detailed designs and resolutions for operational/production incident support within tight timeframes.

• Familiarity with application development platforms and/or languages (Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices).

• Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, and Java applications.

• Teamwork and collaborative skills.

• Extensive experience in systems analysis, application development with SDLC in an agile framework, and data & integration experience on modern application development platforms.
