This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the management of the client’s Windows Servers, Linux Servers, Azure, and M365 services and systems.
• Install and manage IaaS and PaaS services, alongside M365 services, Active Directory, Exchange, and VMware.
• Conduct performance optimization, storage management, backup and recovery, security, and provide operational and application support.
• Engage in a rotating 7x24 on-call support schedule.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions across compute, storage, networking, and security domains.
• Diagnose issues related to application infrastructure, connectivity, security, and server performance in both Azure and on-premises environments.
• Construct, configure, and sustain VMware ESXi and vCenter environments.
• Set up and configure on-premises mailbox and Edge SMTP servers, along with conducting daily maintenance.
• Administer Active Directory, Entra/Azure AD, Group Policy, Azure Policies, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Office 365.
• Manage incidents, changes, problems, and configurations via ServiceNow.
• A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience; alternatively, four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
• Certifications such as Azure Solution Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Ability to successfully pass the California Department of Justice and FBI background check process.
• USPV+ certification is mandatory.
• Completion of the USPV+ requirement is necessary before beginning or receiving equipment during onboarding.
• Extensive experience with administrative tools for Windows Server and Linux Server.
• Proficient in administering Azure IaaS and PaaS services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Familiarity with container infrastructure on Azure, including Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
• Experience with Azure backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Proficient in developing Infrastructure as Code using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, JSON, Bicep, or similar tools.
• Experience in Windows Server installation, configuration, upgrades, migration, and patching.
• Experience in Linux Server configuration, upgrades, migration, and patching.
• Skilled in troubleshooting Azure and on-premises application infrastructure, connectivity, and security issues.
• Expertise in diagnosing CPU, memory, disk, and other server resource performance issues.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and vCenter administration.
• Experience administering on-premises Exchange mailbox servers and Edge SMTP servers.
• Strong background in Active Directory and Entra/Azure AD design and server administration, including Group Policy and Azure Policies.
• Knowledgeable in DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, Windows authentication, VPN connectivity, and client troubleshooting.
• Experience managing Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Office 365.
• Familiarity with using ServiceNow for incident, change, problem, and configuration management.
• Veritas NetBackup and NetApp storage administration experience is a plus.
