Senior System Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Engage in the architectural design process for distributed backend systems.

• Enhance and maintain current authentication and authorization microservices.

• Create new authentication and authorization microservices utilizing OCaml / Rust.

• Interact with customers and offer technical support for APIs and client applications.

• Increase unit and integration test coverage.

• Take part in the code review process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in system programming.

• Proficient in programming and debugging within a Linux environment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of HTTP and REST or other HTTP-based RPC protocols, such as Twirp or gRPC.

• Familiarity with multi-threaded and asynchronous network programming concepts and frameworks (NodeJS, Akka, Tornado, Erlang/OTP, Rust/Tower).

• Strong inclination to verify and document your work thoroughly.

• Understanding of the deployment process and networking within Kubernetes.

• Exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written technical English.

• Capability to present project status and final deliverables effectively.
