Senior System Integration Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze and understand requirements

• Develop comprehensive test cases that address all requirements

• Ensure that each requirement is linked to corresponding test cases

• Gain insight into project architecture, testing environment, and data requirements

• Execute positive, negative, validation, exploratory, regression, and data migration tests

• Conduct verification, validation, integration testing, and data integrity assessments

• Test system interoperability across distributed components throughout business processes

• Assess database persistence, web services connectivity, and data exchange between systems

• Perform negative testing to confirm effective error handling

• Identify and categorize defects in accordance with established standards and procedures

• Prepare detailed status updates and test execution reports

• Compile test analysis reports following the completion of testing

• Collaborate effectively with team members and clients while also working independently

• Adhere to and comply with established standards, processes, and review protocols

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive and thorough experience in the software testing lifecycle

• At least seven years of experience in software testing and leading test initiatives

• Proficient in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and reports

• Experience in communicating project status and presenting defects to stakeholders

• Familiarity with test management and automation tools

• Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), SOAP or REST message formats, FHIR, and HL7 messaging

• Background in Healthcare IT

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• In-depth technical expertise in IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, networks, databases, and specialized environments for distributed applications

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory

• Must successfully pass a comprehensive Government background screening process

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, scientific, managerial, business, or related field

• Four years of relevant experience or an associate degree accompanied by two years of relevant experience can substitute for a bachelor's degree

• Experience testing web services using tools such as SOAPUI, CA DevTest, CAI, or Service Virtualization

• Familiarity with VA healthcare software applications

• Experience utilizing IBM Rational toolset and/or OpenText Application Lifecycle Management

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment practices

• Experience with InterSystems HealthShare or Ensemble

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

• Familiar with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Experience with communication tools such as Teams and SharePoint
