This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.
• Apply logistical engineering techniques to analyze, forecast, and enhance supply chain operations and efficiency.
• Deliver consistent, relevant, and precise data analyses to support engineering decisions through data-driven methodologies.
• Establish domestic and global end-to-end supply chain network baselines.
• Create interfacing element tables that encompass products, sites, demand, sourcing policies, transportation policies, and inventory policies.
• Extract data from enterprise resource planning systems and business intelligence platforms.
• Resolve data discrepancies through rule-based attribute, record, cell, and consistency (ARCC) processes.
• Analyze baseline models for "service only" and "low cost" scenarios.
• Model both current and future state scenarios, assessing cost and service implications.
• Conduct Greenfield and/or Brownfield cost-benefit and break-even analyses.
• Optimize product flow paths, including inbound consolidation, cross docking, port selection, and direct vendor strategies.
• Convert complex system models (Llamasoft, Tableau) into executive-level presentations featuring analyses and data-driven recommendations.
• Collaborate with Route Optimization to create efficient transportation networks, including routes, modes, schedules, and fleets.
• Assess safety stock inventory levels and facility stocking strategies.
• Identify significant barriers and core issues, troubleshooting complex challenges.
• Independently execute assignments and devise strategies for solutions.
• May oversee project completion, including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing progress and accuracy, and evaluating outcomes.
• Support employees' professional growth without authority to hire or fire.
• Engage in extensive travel, including potential on-site implementation.
• Must be a resident of Georgia, Texas, California, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Washington, New York, or Pennsylvania.
• This position requires 75% travel.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse operations, operational design, or a related area.
• Experience in supporting distribution center operational design, warehouse layouts, and supply chain optimization projects is essential.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling systems, automation, storage solutions, racking, conveyors, inventory systems, and facility design.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS); SAP is preferred.
• Intermediate skills in 2D AutoCAD and experience in creating or maintaining warehouse location data and layouts.
• Background in managing vendor relationships, permitting, scheduling, cost negotiations, and project coordination.
• Knowledge of hazmat storage, high-pile storage, racking calculations, and construction permitting requirements.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently while supporting cross-functional project execution, including on-site implementation.
• Typically requires a BS/BA in a related field.
• Generally seeks 5-8 years of experience in a related area OR an MS/MA with typically 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
• Certification is mandatory in certain areas.
