This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Oversee one or more teams focused on developing HIS products, including Developers and Quality Assurance personnel.
• Recruit new staff, set and monitor goals and objectives, allocate workload, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Support the Technical Product Owner in delivering HIS grouping content on the current technology stack while designing and developing a replacement stack.
• Establish technical direction and work with Tech Leads to prioritize and update the team backlog.
• Guide development staff in areas such as analysis, software design, prototyping, coding, debugging, test creation and automation, documentation, support, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Engage in cross-functional teams and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Leaders, Developers, and other stakeholders.
• Advocate for Agile principles across the organization.
• Foster an environment of innovation and facilitate professional development.
• Manage conflict and change to maintain productivity.
• Create software products designed to group, edit, and reimburse healthcare claims while enhancing healthcare quality.
• Required to travel to a specified company location for on-site onboarding during the initial days of employment.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Systems from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership role (supervisor, manager, team lead).
• Experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Knowledge of Generative AI, MCP, and Agentic workflows.
• Experience in web services consumption and web application development (SOAP/REST, Javascript/Angular).
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Experience in Java software development.
• Understanding of SQL and relational database design.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and experience working with distributed teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of approaching issues in a logical, structured, and timely manner.
