Senior Subsidiary Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee EnergyHub's month-end closing activities, which include journal entries, account reconciliations, and related schedules.

• Prepare and evaluate financial statements and management reports in adherence to U.S. GAAP.

• Review and assess contracts for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.

• Collaborate with program managers to accurately capture contract terms.

• Facilitate external audits by preparing workpapers and liaising directly with auditors.

• Assist in managing accounts receivable and invoicing processes.

• Work in conjunction with customer success and operations teams to address outstanding issues.

• Collaborate with FP&A on monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting activities.

• Act as the intermediary between EnergyHub and Alarm.com corporate accounting.

• Aid in meeting SOX compliance obligations.

• Convey accounting requirements to stakeholders who are not familiar with accounting principles.

• Identify operational gaps and develop scalable solutions to enhance processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 2-4 years of progressive experience in accounting demonstrating ownership of processes.

• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

• Experience in a public company setting.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical requirements in simple terms for non-accountants.

• High standards for accuracy, thorough documentation, and completeness.

• CPA license is highly preferred.

• Experience in SaaS, software, energy, or technology sectors is advantageous.

• Comfort in developing processes within a high-growth or transitional setting.
