Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of monthly revenue recognition for state scholarship/agency, tuition, aftercare, and credits revenue streams in accordance with ASC 606.

• Manage deferred revenue schedules associated with the general ledger.

• Oversee monthly consolidations of state entities into a corporate roll-up.

• Conduct flux analysis, inter-company eliminations, and tie-outs.

• Review credit card and billing coding, vendor reconciliations, and month-end accruals prepared by the larger team.

• Lead finance initiatives such as new entity/campus setups, process development, and ad hoc analyses for the Controller and CFO.

• Utilize Cowork (Claude), NetSuite, Ramp, and Google Sheets to extract data, create tie-outs, and automate closing processes.

• Report directly to the Controller while collaborating closely with the CFO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.

• CPA designation or currently pursuing is preferred, but not required.

• Experience with Big 4 firms or public companies along with familiarity in processes and controls is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience with ASC 606 and multi-entity consolidation.

• Proven experience in closing multi-state or multi-entity financial books.

• Proficiency in NetSuite (or a similar ERP system).

• Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets.

• Capability to implement AI-driven process building and use AI for analytical purposes.

• Comfort with developing processes and automating tasks.

• Authorization to work in the United States is required in the application.
