This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee strategic planning efforts within a designated technical or functional domain.
• Regularly engage with management and team members to suggest initiatives, promote technology adoption, and set priorities.
• Offer expert-level insights on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends pertinent to the DEEP mission and the DHS enterprise IT landscape.
• Provide counsel on intricate technical matters encompassing architecture, engineering, integration, testing, security, cloud services, and modernization.
• Convert specialized technical concepts into straightforward recommendations for leadership.
• Assess processes, frameworks, and solutions for enhancement, reengineering, automation, interoperability, and reuse.
• Work in collaboration with architects, developers, analysts, and engineering teams to ensure solutions comply with DHS standards.
• Contribute subject-matter expertise for requirements development, design evaluations, technical assessments, and trade-off analyses.
• Engage in stakeholder interaction sessions to align technical strategies with mission objectives and user needs.
• Mentor project teams and junior personnel.
• Assist in the development of technical roadmaps, target architectures, and modernization strategies.
• Evaluate risks linked to complex technical solutions and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Ensure alignment with DHS enterprise platforms, including ServiceNow, Power Platform, Azure Gov, AWS GovCloud, modern JavaScript frameworks, Okta SSO, and Atlassian/GitLab.
• Provide authoritative insights during project planning, governance reviews, and change management processes.
• A Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 11 years of progressive technical or functional experience in a specific technical area or specialized skill.
• ServiceNow certification is mandatory.
• Microsoft Certification is preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Capability to successfully complete a government-issued background investigation.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
• Previous Public Trust or Security Clearance is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in articulating complex technical and programmatic subjects to a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Skill in transforming ambiguous requirements into actionable strategies.
• Ability to inspire and lead technical teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Position allows for remote work.
