This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Direct and manage contract administration tasks for designated programs, clients, or TerraPower initiatives, encompassing government contracts, subcontracts, grants, government funding avenues, and commercial agreements.
• Act as TerraPower’s main point of contact with external government and commercial customer contracting entities for the assigned programs.
• Supervise and assist Business Development efforts by reviewing, strategizing negotiations, and leading the execution of agreements.
• Maintain continuous oversight of executed contracts, focusing on compliance, change control, risk management, quality, cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
• Aid department leadership by implementing process enhancements, developing tools, facilitating staff training, and managing budget planning and control.
• Organize and direct cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and other internal stakeholders.
• Provide oversight and guidance on subcontract management, working closely with Procurement on subcontracting strategies.
• Ensure that contract files, documentation, and approvals are precise, comprehensive, and prepared for audits.
• Execute and consistently refine procedures for initiating, developing, issuing, monitoring, and concluding external contracts.
• Reduce risks and liabilities through negotiations with customers, contract administration, guidance on subcontract sourcing, pricing assistance, and coordination of procurement for materials, equipment, and services.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a comparable blend of education and experience totaling a minimum of fifteen to twenty years in technically focused contracting.
• Experience in contracting positions with international exposure (preferred).
• Direct experience in engineering-related contracting within the nuclear sector (preferred).
• Familiarity with working alongside DOE National Laboratories and an understanding of their operational frameworks (preferred).
• A technical or subject-matter expertise (education or experience-based) is beneficial.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities, with the capacity to work autonomously while effectively coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Proven integrity, reliability, transparency in communication, and dedication to fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Capability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
• 0-10% travel may be required.
• Compliance with U.S. Government export control regulations is mandatory; applicants may need to confirm U.S. citizenship or nationality, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident status.
