Senior Structural Designer – Piping Movement Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Create steel and concrete structural layouts and connection details utilizing AutoCAD and BIM (Revit).

• Design and modify MEP support structure layouts and steel shop drawings based on engineers' feedback.

• Examine and organize multidisciplinary construction drawings from clients, consultants, and internal contacts.

• Detect clashes, conflicts, and incomplete design information within construction drawing sets.

• Work collaboratively with internal and external engineers and contractors to finalize coordinated structural drawing sets.

• Oversee and refresh drawing templates and libraries of details and components.

• Conduct simple structural connection design calculations for submission packages.

• Assist with project reviews, kickoff meetings, client interactions, and job control activities.

• Manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously and enhance workflow to adhere to deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in structure-related drafting.

• Familiarity with multidisciplinary construction documents and drawings, including structural, mechanical, architectural, and plant/facility drawings.

• Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit/Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Background in the structural/mechanical discipline and commercial construction sector.

• Knowledge of steel, concrete, cold-form steel, and masonry construction types and methodologies.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer-sponsored immigration support now or in the future.
