Senior Strategic Finance Analyst, GTM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Become an expert in all aspects of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success across various business segments, channels, and products.

• Lead the FP&A process for the GTM teams, focusing on headcount and operating expense management, along with monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, scenario modeling, and regular business reviews.

• Collaborate closely with our Marketing team to evaluate program expenditures and explore other investment opportunities.

• Work in partnership with Finance and GTM leadership on the top-line sales forecasting process, including Bookings, ARR, Net Dollar Retention, and Renewals.

• Monitor and ensure precise tracking of Bookings, ARR, Net Dollar Retention, and Renewals.

• Develop, own, and maintain quota/capacity models, pipeline/waterfall models, TAM analysis, and provide support for ad hoc modeling as necessary.

• Define, track, and analyze unit economics and other metrics that assess the effectiveness of sales and marketing investments, including ROI/attribution and efficiency.

• Assist in the design and modeling of compensation plans.

• Collaborate with Accounting, Sales Ops, and Finance to ensure that financial processes and reporting are aligned with the needs of GTM and the corporate structure.

• Offer analysis and insights to facilitate the monthly and quarterly business review processes, BOD packages, and other essential reporting.

• Utilize AI as the primary method of operation: generating first drafts for analysis, modeling, and reporting, accelerating scenario work, and synthesizing narratives. Docker is an AI-first company, and we expect AI to be integrated into the daily operations of this role.

• Create automation that scales the function: AI-driven workflows, agents, and reusable tools connected to our operational systems to reduce manual efforts, expedite reporting, and provide leadership with quicker self-service visibility.

• Play a key role in expanding our finance team, financial infrastructure, models, tools, reporting automation, and AI-driven planning processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of FP&A experience, with previous experience supporting GTM teams.

• Familiarity with SaaS and consumption business model revenue drivers and metrics.

• Highly collaborative and proactive in fostering effective relationships with business and cross-functional partners.

• Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and analytical skills; knowledge of SQL is a plus.

• Practical experience and a proven track record of achieving tangible outcomes and improvements using AI tools (e.g., Claude, LLMs, AI features within finance platforms) in routine financial tasks including analysis, modeling, reporting, and research. Docker is an AI-first company, and demonstrated use of AI is a fundamental requirement for this role.

• Prior experience with Salesforce, Sigma/BI, ERP (NetSuite), and FP&A Platforms (we utilize Pigment) is essential.

• Understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
