Senior Strategic Communications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Design and implement communication strategies that align with the priorities of the Ortho Tech Division, enhance employee engagement, and support leadership initiatives.

• Oversee the planning, creation, production, and dissemination of internal communications for employees.

• Collaborate with HR on communications aimed at employees and People Leaders, including organizational updates and urgent announcements.

• Aid in change communications by simplifying complex information into clear and actionable messages.

• Take ownership of the communications editorial calendar and ensure its upkeep.

• Manage employee distribution lists, ensure governance, upkeep, and drive process enhancements.

• Develop, edit, and publish content across various mediums, including email, newsletters, Connect articles, presentations, and digital platforms.

• Act as a steward of the Ortho Tech brand by adhering to Stryker’s brand standards, voice, and messaging guidelines.

• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and provide guidance on audience targeting, channel selection, timing, and content creation.

• Assist in communications for key division events and initiatives, like sales meetings.

• Stay updated on communication trends, technologies, and best practices, and lead efforts for enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a communications-related role is required.

• Outstanding writing and editing abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Familiarity with AP Style is preferred.

• A writing assessment will be part of the selection process.

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 applications is essential.

• Experience with SharePoint, Viva Engage, Marketo, or similar email marketing tools is advantageous.

• The ideal candidate should reside in the Eastern Time Zone.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% is necessary.
