This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.
• Create and manage external communication materials, such as press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, talking points, and briefing documents.
• Assist with media outreach initiatives, interview preparation, and relationship-building with industry media and other external stakeholders.
• Track industry trends and pinpoint opportunities to enhance the visibility of SOLV Energy, its projects, and its leadership.
• Identify, develop, and produce content that showcases SOLV Energy's personnel, projects, innovations, partnerships, and industry knowledge.
• Cultivate relationships with internal subject matter experts, project teams, and business leaders to uncover emerging stories and communication opportunities.
• Conduct research and interviews to collect information and develop communication content.
• Create thought leadership articles, project highlights, and LinkedIn content.
• Convert technical information into clear and engaging content for external audiences.
• Monitor news related to the industry, competitors, and the company while preparing regular reports on trends, opportunities, and reputation-related considerations.
• Assist with executive visibility and thought leadership projects through research, message development, speaking materials, and event communications.
• Oversee content planning, publishing, and performance tracking for SOLV Energy's LinkedIn presence.
• Aid employee advocacy initiatives by generating content and tracking participation and outcomes.
• Work with internal stakeholders to promote company announcements, project milestones, and thought leadership content.
• Maintain and manage the external communications editorial calendar.
• Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and company leadership on integrated communications efforts.
• Coordinate with creative resources to produce visual assets.
• Handle multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring message consistency and alignment with company priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, content marketing, media relations, or a related field.
• Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Strong skills in interviewing, research, and information-gathering.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships across the organization.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
