Senior Manager, Business Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +11 more states.

📋 Description

• Create assignments of different lengths and levels of detail that support strategic, functional, and operational proposal topics.

• Work in tandem with Capture and Proposal Managers, Proposal Directors, and Subject Matter Experts to finalize proposal responses.

• Evaluate proposal sections and content to uncover connections, ensure coherence, and promote a unified narrative.

• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather information for compliant responses, update resumes, draft past performances, and formulate proposal responses.

• Execute qualitative and quantitative research and analyze data to create client-solution content.

• Partner with Graphic Designers on proposal graphics and visual storytelling.

• Engage in proposal meetings, color team reviews, and status meetings throughout the proposal process.

• Craft compliant and persuasive proposal responses that meet internal quality standards and bid guidance.

• Formulate innovative strategies that articulate customer needs and winning themes.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of Aetna Medicaid products and services.

• Assist in the management lifecycle of the Medicaid Content Library.

• Participate in team meetings and share ideas to foster innovation and creativity.

• Establish relationships with health plan leaders, proposal colleagues, and SMEs to promote business acquisition and retention.

• Aid in the development of internal processes and procedures, including scorecards, quality business reports, style guides, and performance metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than five years of experience as a proposal writer or a related role.

• At least three years of experience with Medicaid proposals.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.

• Outstanding organizational, project management, analytical, and creative problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

• Experience in collaborating across different departments and organizational levels.

• Familiarity with Associated Press and internal style guides.

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Writing, English, Communications, Healthcare Policy, or relevant work experience.
