This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in regular strategic discussions with AlphaHire.
• Assess selected opportunities or key strategic decisions.
• Facilitate introductions when deemed appropriate independently.
• Provide guidance on which government opportunities to pursue or decline.
• Recognize risks and underestimations within the government procurement process.
• Offer advice on the necessary capabilities before pursuing larger contracts.
• Counsel on decisions related to priming versus partnering.
• Clarify how to establish agency credibility as a new entrant.
• Identify potential post-award errors that could lead to complications.
• Advise on developing government contracting capabilities without incurring unnecessary overhead costs.
• May offer separately scoped, compensated execution support for capture, proposal development, contract strategy, or client engagements.
• Extensive experience in government contracting.
• Background in federal, state, or large municipal government contracting.
• Proficiency in capture strategy and opportunity qualification.
• Experience in evaluating RFP/RFQ/RFI and making bid/no-bid determinations.
• Competence in proposal strategy and competitive positioning.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and government procurement processes.
• Experience with IDIQs, BPAs, GWACs, GSA schedules, or similar contract vehicles.
• Knowledge of prime/subcontractor and teaming strategies.
• Experience in developing agency relationships.
• Proficient in contract compliance and post-award execution.
• Experience with professional services, research, analytics, workforce, infrastructure, technology, or consulting contracts.
• Experience in building or scaling a government contracting function.
• Background as a government contracting executive, former contracting/procurement leader, capture executive, government practice leader, or senior operator at a well-established federal contractor.
• Ability to provide practical judgment based on real government contracting execution.
• Capability to challenge assumptions and offer straightforward strategic advice.
