Senior Strategic Accounts Manager – Mid-Market

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Retain and upsell small to mid-sized employer clients with a workforce ranging from 250 to 1,000 lives.

• Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure outstanding client experiences and desired outcomes.

• Serve as a trusted strategic partner, advising clients on plan design, cost trends, and overall plan performance.

• Establish and nurture strategic relationships with brokers and clients.

• Monitor client health, foresee strategic needs, and implement proactive measures to mitigate account risks.

• Collaborate with finance, product, data, and technology teams to produce reports that showcase Garner’s value and ROI.

• Enhance Net Revenue Retention and other key performance indicators for the designated book of business.

• Report directly to the Director of Strategic Accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of health plan design and benefits, with experience in advising employer clients on benefits strategy and cost performance.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a consultant/broker, account management, or sales position within the employee benefits sector.

• Proven track record of meeting retention and upsell targets consistently year over year.

• Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment marked by ambiguity.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and articulation skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving within complex strategic situations.

• Ability to work independently while being accountable and open to authentic feedback.
