📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architecture for the real-time, cross-asset risk and margin engine.

• Create low-latency, high-throughput risk systems while ensuring accuracy and performance.

• Enhance reliability and performance by managing SLOs, observability, and incident response.

• Establish technical standards through code and design reviews while minimizing critical technical debt.

• Act as the cornerstone for risk architecture, mentoring engineers, and mitigating single points of failure.

• Collaborate with Product, Trading, Financing/Credit Risk, Security, and Compliance teams to transform technical vision into actionable roadmaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient architect capable of designing, building, deploying, and supporting 24/7 risk systems that handle billions of dollars in daily transactions.

• Comprehensive backend engineering experience with responsibility for complex, production-grade distributed systems.

• Proven track record in architecting cross-asset risk systems in crypto, equities, FCM, or derivatives, including user/portfolio modeling and real-time cross-portfolio evaluation at scale.

• Strong expertise in low-latency Java.

• Familiarity with high-throughput messaging technologies such as Aeron, SBE, or similar.

• Background in designing event-driven, high-availability systems.

• Experience with multifactor and borrow risk, margin, or clearing within a regulated or financial context.

• Demonstrated capability in delivering projects from start to finish: scoping, architecture, implementation, monitoring, and iteration.

• Ability to balance engineering trade-offs with end-user quality, as evidenced by deployed products.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI with appropriate human oversight.
