Senior Staff Software Engineer – QA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the testing of storage functionalities through involvement in product design, development of test strategies, hands-on testing, and automation efforts.

• Evaluate feature designs and offer insights to enhance product quality and testability.

• Create test strategies to uncover product vulnerabilities via cross-functional, system, and stress testing.

• Collaborate with developers to grasp feature specifications and bug fixes, crafting test cases for new functionalities and regression testing.

• Partner with the tools team to establish test automation for product features.

• Engage with Customer Support to comprehend customer challenges, replicate them internally, and troubleshoot effectively.

• Operate remotely with a global team utilizing Slack, Zoom, email, Confluence, and Jira.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with NFS/SMB protocols.

• Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux environments.

• Familiarity with various operating systems including Linux, Windows, and VMware.

• In-depth understanding of release management and the testing lifecycle.

• Experience in constructing test pipelines and infrastructure from a QA Engineer's viewpoint.

• Knowledgeable in NAS filesystem testing.

• Background in software test development utilizing shell scripting and Python.

• Proficient with packet capture tools like Wireshark and tcpdump.

• Capability in drafting and executing intricate system-level test plans, test cases, and reports.

• Proven history of being a significant contributor to successful projects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills complemented by a strong quality assurance background.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with over 10 years of experience, or a Master's degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience.

• Desired familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
