Senior Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack – Marketplace, Consumer Experiences

📋 Description

• Establish the technical vision, long-term roadmap, and strategic initiatives for Marketplace, Search, Ads Platform, and App Experiences.

• Advocate for and implement technical excellence in consumer-facing experiences while aligning with business objectives.

• Foster a strong ownership culture within teams, ensuring accountability for scalability and efficiency.

• Lead and deliver essential user experiences promptly and reliably.

• Design, implement, and enhance core platform components and their functionalities.

• Architect and make decisions regarding platforms, tools, and technologies.

• Mentor and guide engineers by promoting best practices and supporting their professional development.

• Collaborate with engineering leaders and stakeholders to develop scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience across the technology stack, driving architectural advancements in the backend.

• Additional points for proficiency in languages such as React Native, Javascript, or Kotlin.

• Proven history of successfully leading significant projects and coordinating multiple engineering teams across organizational boundaries for company-wide achievements.

• Extensive experience in developing and executing technical strategies that resulted in considerable improvements in reliability and responsiveness.

• Prior experience in project management or people management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• A mindset focused on ownership and prioritizing customer needs.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams and with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Comfortable engaging with code and systems, understanding dependencies, and enhancing them.
