Senior Staff Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain secure cloud architectures for AWS and Azure platforms, ensuring they adhere to industry best practices and compliance regulations.

• Work closely with engineering teams to assess application and infrastructure designs, proactively identifying and addressing security risks early in the development process.

• Design and implement advanced security measures, including IAM policies, network segmentation, encryption, and monitoring solutions.

• Spearhead the development of automated pipelines and tools for security reviews during go-live phases, integrating with CI/CD workflows to enforce security checkpoints.

• Ensure that cloud environments comply with regulatory and organizational standards, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX, and CJIS.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers and cross-functional teams.

• Partner with incident response teams to provide expertise on cloud-related security incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 4 years dedicated to cloud security architecture.

• Strong foundation in software development (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or similar languages).

• Extensive knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including their native security services.

• Proven track record of conducting reviews of software and infrastructure architecture.

• Demonstrated capability to design and implement automated security review processes.

• Familiar with infrastructure-as-code/configuration-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Ansible, Puppet, etc.).

• Experience with container security (e.g., Kubernetes, EKS, AKS) and serverless architecture.

• Strong grasp of DevSecOps principles and their integration with CI/CD.

• Excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.

• Preferred: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or CCSP.

• Preferred: Experience with multi-cloud security strategies and hybrid environments.

• Preferred: Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CSA CCM, and MITRE ATT&CK.
