Senior Cybersecurity Advisor – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Drive the generation of pipelines for AI-related services and technology businesses to achieve or surpass quota goals.

• Adhere to Optiv’s standardized sales operating procedures.

• Keep abreast of clients’ security environments, business operations, security requirements, and risk tolerance.

• Recognize AI-related security issues and applications of AI security tools, aligning them with Optiv’s strategic offerings.

• Discover cross-sell and upsell opportunities within client and partner relationships.

• Qualify, guide, and collaborate with internal colleagues on scope, proposal management, and deal closure.

• Engage in sales opportunities across Optiv’s portfolio that involves AI products, services, and advisement.

• Clearly articulate how Optiv’s AI technology and service portfolio addresses the needs of client stakeholders at an executive level.

• Track industry trends and the AI landscape to offer thought leadership, support, analysis, and guidance.

• Work with service delivery to create consistent AI domain-specialty materials.

• Maintain advisory relationships with client stakeholders alongside sales partners.

• Foster working relationships with relevant Optiv technology partners.

• Align client AI expectations with Optiv’s solution offerings to ensure successful implementation, delivery excellence, and client satisfaction.

• Identify emerging AI technologies and products for both internal training and client exposure.

• Advocate for Optiv’s portfolio and enhance security awareness through speaking engagements, partner events, industry publications, and social media.

• Establish a reputation as a trusted advisor among clients, partners, peers, and the cybersecurity community.

• Relay client feedback to internal teams to facilitate continuous improvement.

• Engage in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management for AI growth.

• Manage and prioritize proposal processes, including business proposals, contracts, and RFI/RFP responses.

• Pursue ongoing development in technical, soft-skill, and security-specific areas through education, certification, and other avenues.

• Employ expert sales techniques to cultivate connections, facilitate meetings, understand client needs, address objections, position solutions, and close sales.


⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent with relevant work experience.

• A minimum of eight (8) years in an information security role, ideally as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer.

• At least 3 years specifically dedicated to Network Security solutions.

• Comprehensive understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive measures related to AI.

• Strong business and technical insight with the capability to lead technology-focused AI discussions.

• Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including proficiency in whiteboard sessions and other presentation formats.

• Keen attention to detail when reviewing SOWs, quotes, and client deliverables.

• Vendor-specific certifications primarily focused on AI and related areas of Center of Excellence (CoE) focus.

• Capacity to work both in-person and remotely with distributed teams in a decentralized setting.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Willingness to travel within the US and Canada, as well as internationally when necessary.

• CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, CCSP or other relevant professional cybersecurity certifications are preferred.

• Experience in presenting and advocating technology and AI thought leadership at events.

• Previous experience in leading an information security function or program.

• Active participation and membership in organizational chapters such as ISACA and ISSA.
