Senior Security Engineer – OT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead operational technology (OT) risk assessments and conduct gap analyses, while developing a multi-year OT security roadmap.

• Design and implement defensive security measures for cloud, production, and corporate environments.

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security tools.

• Create systems that enhance automation, visibility, and threat detection across information security and infrastructure teams.

• Proactively drive security initiatives and promote a security-first culture.

• Collaborate closely with factory production teams to review designs and use cases, ensuring that environments are designed with security in mind.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with routing, switching, and network design principles.

• Knowledge of zero trust architecture and segmentation strategies specifically for OT networks.

• Experience in conducting security architecture or design reviews for OT/ICS environments.

• Familiarity with threat modeling frameworks, including MITRE ATT&CK for ICS.

• Proficiency in programming with one or more general-purpose languages such as Python, Go, or Rust.

• Background in developing and implementing defensive controls in both corporate and industrial production settings.

• Capability to work independently and take ownership of intricate projects.

• Participation in or support of incident response activities.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Preferred: experience with OT protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and Ethernet/IP.

• Preferred: background with ICS/SCADA vendor platforms like Siemens, Rockwell, and Honeywell.

• Preferred: experience in creating custom solutions within high-growth, high-complexity network environments.

• Preferred: substantial experience with Linux operating systems.
