Senior Staff Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee the workflow within the Agile Release Train (ART).

• Support teams in overcoming challenges, managing risks, resolving issues, and fulfilling commitments.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams.

• Organize, coordinate, and implement production deployments for significant epics and initiatives involving multiple product and shared-services teams.

• Spearhead delivery efforts and promote outcomes that enhance workflow efficiency across the Global Front of Stores Agile Release Train.

• Align various teams and manage intricate initiatives.

• Ensure timely achievement of ART-wide commitments.

• Facilitate and lead SAFe ceremonies at both team and ART levels.

• Direct cross-functional teams handling multiple simultaneous production releases.

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and speed to value across teams and the ART.

• Enhance team effectiveness by mitigating external interruptions and distractions, while addressing team dynamics.

• Analyze delivery metrics to assess progress and adapt strategies based on insights gained.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in an Agile setting as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or Program Manager with dedicated Agile teams utilizing Scrum/SAFe.

• Exceptional communication, facilitation, influencing, negotiation, team-building, and mentoring abilities.

• Capability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and work independently.

• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Assertiveness and the ability to serve as a voice of reason and authority.

• Profound understanding of Agile methodologies and tools.

• Proven experience in leading and facilitating SAFe ceremonies at both team and ART levels.

• Proficient in managing multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations in a dynamic environment.

• Skilled at articulating options and recommendations, as well as planning/replanning and driving delivery decisions.

• Established success in leading cross-functional teams through numerous concurrent production releases.

• Highly effective in communication with various stakeholder levels and able to adjust messaging for different audiences.

• Capacity to lead continuous improvement activities aimed at enhancing efficiency and value delivery.

• Ability to cultivate an environment where teams operate effectively and manage disruptions, distractions, and team dynamics.

• Proficient in Solution Delivery Lifecycle Management, SDP controls, and Agile management tools, especially JIRA Align, Confluence, and Power BI Dashboards.

• Experienced in reviewing metrics, tracking progress, and analyzing data to make informed adjustments.

• Possess situational awareness and the ability to identify, address, and escalate issues as necessary.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent IT Delivery skills/training/experience.

• SAFe or similar Scrum Master certification is preferred.
