Senior Staff Product Manager, Browser Control Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the shared infrastructure and the foundational elements it provides to other software, ensuring their reliability and security.

• Advance the open standard (WebDriver BiDi) and create unique advantages for Firefox that are not addressed by the standard.

• Design safety mechanisms that allow users to authorize actions, monitor software operations on their behalf, and regain control when necessary.

• Establish the strategy for integrating popular third-party AI assistants that users are already utilizing.

• Support internal teams (Smart Window, New Products) and external tools through a unified shared platform.

• Promote adoption across teams and tools, enhancing platform usage, reliability, and security.

⛳️ Requirements

• An engineer with a product-focused mindset or a highly technical PM capable of managing a technical product.

• Experience in the developer space, with the ability to consider both consumer and internal platforms.

• Ability to set strategies in uncertain situations; responsible for a technical agreement relied upon by other teams.

• Strong instincts regarding security and trustworthiness.

• Preferred: knowledge of web standards, MCP, and browser automation.
