This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +3 more countries.
• Conduct research, write, and publish intelligence reports focusing on environmental crime and illicit finance.
• Sustain a reusable threat landscape concerning environmental crimes within TRM's intelligence framework.
• Leverage on-chain data, OSINT, and off-chain information from partners to pinpoint wallets, entities, and exit points linked to environmental crime networks.
• Create structured, source-referenced targeting materials to support investigations by law enforcement and partners.
• Oversee and manage the United for Wildlife and Project Pangolin partnership program, collaborating with over 200 organizations.
• Offer case support, analysis, guidance, training, and onboarding to partners.
• Coordinate cross-sector and cross-border initiatives and working groups focused on real-time disruption.
• Collaborate with USFWS, HSI, DOJ, Interpol, UNODC, national agencies, and NGOs.
• Provide briefings to internal stakeholders, partners, and leadership, while representing TRM in media and at external events.
• Influence TRM's mission tools by converting field requirements into product feedback and prototypes.
• Develop reusable AI workflows for signal processing, target selection, and drafting, ensuring human validation.
• Deliver an active case and a completed intelligence product within 30 days.
• Provide intelligence or training to a United for Wildlife partner and launch a reusable AI workflow within 60 days.
• Establish a sustainable partner delivery program and publish or present an intelligence product within 90 days.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in intelligence analysis, financial crime, illicit finance, blockchain intelligence, or transnational threat investigations.
• Expertise in wildlife trafficking, environmental crime, transnational smuggling, or a closely related illicit trade domain.
• Capability to independently manage complex, multi-source investigations.
• Proficient in producing clear, decision-ready, source-cited written intelligence for both expert and non-expert audiences.
• Strong command of OSINT methodologies and practices.
• Practical experience with commercial databases and investigative tools.
• Fluency in AI production, including utilizing AI and LLMs to enhance research and analysis, build reusable workflows, and critically assess AI outputs.
• Experience in fostering trust within a multi-organization network and managing an external partner program.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, briefing, and facilitation skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in uncertain environments.
• Commitment to mastering blockchain tracing and TRM's tools; previous experience in crypto is not mandatory.
• Preferred hands-on experience in blockchain or crypto tracing across various chains and obfuscation techniques.
• Experience collaborating with law enforcement or NGOs in conservation or enforcement settings is preferred.
• Background in delivering training or enablement to external partners is a plus.
• Experience in organizing events or operational working groups is advantageous.
• Proficiency in regional languages relevant to key trafficking corridors, such as Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Spanish, or Portuguese, is a plus.
• Availability for overlap with US, EMEA, and APAC time zones is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
