This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize generative AI and machine learning to pinpoint payment integrity challenges, lower healthcare process expenses, and enhance healthcare results.
• Evaluate the potential value and risks associated with business challenges alongside Research and Development, Operations, and product management stakeholders.
• Create exploratory data analysis strategies to validate hypotheses for AI/ML applications.
• Document methodologies, reasoning, and outcomes using standard collaboration techniques.
• Prepare final trained models and establish validation test sets for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with production operations to implement models and assist in performance monitoring.
• Partner with other data science teams and colleagues on various projects.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Take part in design discussions to enhance Cotiviti’s machine learning platform.
• Deliver comprehensive value-based solutions, including data pipelines, model development, and applications for end-user utilization.
• Fulfill annual performance review and goal-setting duties, along with any assigned special projects.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, analysts, clinicians, coding specialists, auditors, and innovators to create business value.
• PhD or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research, emphasizing Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning, and AI.
• Proficiency in natural language processing techniques, including transformers, fine-tuning LLMs, and measuring/benchmarking and deploying LLMs.
• Familiarity with HuggingFace, Langchain, LLAMA/Mistral, OpenAI, and vector databases.
• Over 9 years of practical experience in data science/AI.
• Experience with pandas, scikit-learn, Keras, NLTK, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and GPU.
• Proven track record in building production-grade machine learning deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark and large-scale distributed datasets.
• A publication record in journals/conferences and/or a history of innovation is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences is a plus.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
