This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop reasoning systems that correlate verified attack paths and exploitation telemetry to relevant control modifications.
• Assess control modifications based on their effectiveness and operational impact.
• Transform penetration test data into training and assessment datasets.
• Analyze the reasons behind the success or failure of attacks across different environments.
• Create and conduct counterfactual experiments in representative test settings.
• Construct reasoning layers that integrate diverse vendor control planes and APIs.
• Design safety architecture for autonomous modifications, encompassing simulation, blast-radius classification, approval processes, staged rollouts, rollbacks, and audit trails.
• Collaborate with attack and detection engineers to establish agent behavior and troubleshoot failure modes.
• Take ownership of challenges from inception to completion in a 0→1 environment.
• Extensive experience in ML engineering focused on building, evaluating, and deploying production-grade AI systems.
• Proficient in deep learning, transformer models, and PyTorch through hands-on experience.
• Practical experience with post-training large language models or agentic systems that utilize tools, planning, and long-term execution.
• Proven history of developing evaluation systems for open-ended tasks assessed by their outcomes.
• Experience in reasoning over configurations, graphs, logs, and policy documents.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals with a background in delivering production-quality Python code.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Capability to work across model behavior, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong technical documentation abilities.
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 4 years of professional engineering experience.
• A keen interest in understanding the operations of attackers and defenders, along with a willingness to learn about the domain.
