This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Train, refine, and assess deep learning models and Vision-Language Models for detailed retail scene comprehension and product identification.
• Create and implement features that integrate computer vision and computer graphics for engaging Augmented Reality workflows.
• Profile, enhance, and quantize algorithms tailored for latency- and memory-sensitive edge hardware.
• Collaborate with multimodal LLMs, VLMs, and innovative prompting methodologies to develop automated recognition tools.
• Improve and streamline algorithms for efficiency, resilience across diverse store environments, and global scalability.
• Benchmark, test, and assess ML models against real-world retail datasets to ensure accuracy and dependability.
• Design visual and multimodal architectures and deliver production-grade solutions deployed in thousands of stores worldwide.
• Over 3 years of practical experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning and Deep Learning models in production or applied research and development settings.
• Solid understanding of both classical and contemporary computer vision techniques.
• Knowledge of linear algebra, calculus, and the mathematical principles necessary for 2D/3D geometry and spatial graphics.
• Practical experience with modern LLMs/VLMs and techniques for prompt engineering.
• High proficiency in Python along with deep learning frameworks, with a preference for Keras, TensorFlow, and JAX.
• Strong problem-solving skills to translate complex academic and R&D concepts into effective production features.
• Comfortable engaging in daily English communication, both written and spoken, within a distributed international team.
• Experience with AR frameworks like ARKit or ARCore, or computer graphics pipelines such as OpenGL, WebGL, or game engines.
• Familiarity with optimizing models for edge devices and inference runtimes like CoreML or TFLite.
• Previous experience in retail analytics, planogram compliance, or fine-grained object recognition is a plus.
