Senior Staff Engineer, Salesforce Health Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive Salesforce Health Cloud solution architecture and delivery for large-scale healthcare implementations.

• Take ownership of the Health Cloud technical strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and adherence to HIPAA/PHI regulations.

• Convert client business use cases and technical requirements into detailed technical designs.

• Align architectural choices with requirements and effectively communicate them to development teams.

• Assess and evaluate solution alternatives to determine the most suitable option for client needs.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, architects, users, and high-level leadership.

• Review and authorize both high-level and low-level technical designs.

• Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, optimize for governor limits, tune performance, and maintain code quality.

• Provide guidance on Salesforce security, data access, sharing rules, consent management, and compliance matters.

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and Salesforce technical teams.

• Collaborate with Salesforce architects and developers to create scalable solutions.

• Assess solution feasibility in relation to Salesforce capabilities and project limitations.

• Prepare and maintain process flows, business process models, functional diagrams, and documentation.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Facilitate user adoption through the creation of training materials, user guides, and release notes.

• Evaluate existing Salesforce implementations and suggest process improvements and optimization opportunities.

• Establish NFR guidelines and benchmarks.

• Draft and review architecture and design documentation.

• Review architecture for aspects such as extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, and NFRs.

• Define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to address both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Address code and design review issues through systematic root-cause analysis.

• Conduct proofs of concept to validate proposed designs and technologies.

• Mentor team members and maintain high delivery standards.

• Participate in roadmap planning, release strategies, and the long-term evolution of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7.5 years of overall experience.

• Proven ability to lead end-to-end Salesforce Health Cloud solution architecture and delivery for large enterprise healthcare projects.

• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce Health Cloud features, such as Patient/Member Profiles, Care Plans, Care Programs, Care Teams, Health Timelines, Assessments, Care Gaps, and Utilization Management.

• Experience in converting complex healthcare business requirements into scalable Salesforce Health Cloud solutions.

• Familiarity with Salesforce core, Health Cloud extensions, integrations, data models, and automation processes.

• Practical leadership experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Triggers, Batch Apex, and Salesforce APIs.

• Experience in defining integration architecture utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, FHIR, and HL7.

• Strong comprehension of EHR/EMR integrations, payer/provider workflows, and management of the patient/member lifecycle.

• Experience in leading requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

• Proven ability to provide technical governance, conduct design/code reviews, and manage architectural risks and technical debt.

• Experience leading and mentoring geographically dispersed Salesforce teams, including developers, admins, QA, and offshore delivery teams.

• Hands-on experience with tools like Copado, Git, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.

• Experience in collaborating with program managers on scope, timelines, risks, and delivery commitments.

• Proven ability to drive innovation, PoCs, Salesforce Health Cloud feature adoption, and platform enhancements.

• Experience with roadmap planning, release strategies, and long-term platform evolution.

• Strong experience in Agile/Scaled Agile environments, including sprint planning and release management.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management abilities.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
