Salesforce Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Direct the architecture, performance, and scalability of services based on the Salesforce Platform and Node.js.

• Ensure that architectural choices align with Salesforce and cloud engineering best practices.

• Take ownership of the technical direction for Salesforce applications.

• Provide mentorship to senior engineers.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to swiftly deliver high-quality solutions.

• Oversee a team of 10 to 15 developers.

• Establish goals and conduct one-on-one meetings.

• Foster career growth and recruit engineering talent.

• Eliminate obstacles that hinder progress.

• Balance the delivery of the roadmap with engineering excellence, which includes code quality, system reliability, platform performance, security, and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.

• Strong expertise in Salesforce, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and best practices for the Salesforce platform.

• Demonstrated experience in Salesforce technical architecture, focusing on designing scalable enterprise solutions.

• Solid background in Node.js and a clear perspective on how to build maintainable services and integrations at scale.

• Experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems using contemporary APIs and integration methodologies.

• Profound understanding of software architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization.

• Proven track record of enhancing engineering velocity, system performance, scalability, and deployment processes within production environments.

• Established ability to nurture engineers, make effective hiring decisions, and lead high-performing engineering teams that consistently achieve results.

• Nice to have: Experience with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation of deployments.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS platforms.

• Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or containerization technologies.

• Nice to have: Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I or II, Application Architect, or System Architect.

• Nice to have: Background in scaling SaaS platforms or products aimed at developers.
