Salesforce Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture, performance, and scalability of the Salesforce Platform and services built on Node.js.

• Ensure that architectural choices are in line with Salesforce and cloud engineering best practices.

• Take responsibility for the technical direction of Salesforce applications.

• Provide mentorship to senior engineers.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to rapidly deliver high-quality solutions.

• Lead a team of 10 to 15 developers by setting objectives, conducting one-on-ones, fostering career growth, recruiting engineering talent, and eliminating obstacles.

• Maintain a balance between roadmap delivery and engineering excellence, which encompasses code quality, system reliability, platform performance, security, and developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, including more than 3 years in leadership roles for engineering teams.

• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and best practices for the Salesforce platform.

• Demonstrated experience in Salesforce technical architecture, focusing on designing scalable enterprise solutions.

• Strong background in Node.js and a well-defined perspective on creating maintainable services and integrations at scale.

• Proficient in integrating Salesforce with external systems using modern APIs and integration patterns.

• In-depth understanding of software architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization.

• Proven history of enhancing engineering velocity, system performance, scalability, and deployment processes in production settings.

• Demonstrated capability to develop engineers, hire effectively, and lead high-performing engineering teams that consistently achieve results.

• Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation of deployment processes.

• Experience with AWS, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS platforms.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, or containerization technologies.

• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I or II, Application Architect, or System Architect.

• Experience in scaling SaaS platforms or products aimed at developers.
