Senior SRE Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the robust scalability and resilience of applications developed and utilized at Méliuz.

• Develop and oversee infrastructure monitoring and management tools.

• Provide the necessary resources for engineering teams to build applications at scale.

• Assist engineering teams in guaranteeing that systems are fault-tolerant.

• Aid in making application architecture decisions.

• Automate infrastructure processes.

• Evolve and sustain the GitOps-based delivery workflow, standardizing deployments to Kubernetes and other systems.

• Design and manage AWS network architecture, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, and connectivity between accounts and environments.

• Oversee the application edge layer: CDN, DNS, load balancers, ingress, and TLS certificates.

• Foster a DevOps and GitOps culture throughout the engineering organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing and monitoring services on AWS.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code and automation utilizing Terraform/Terragrunt.

• Strong understanding of AWS networking: VPCs, subnets, route tables, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, VPC Endpoints, Security Groups, and NACLs.

• Experience in managing, monitoring, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS, including version upgrades, managed node groups, add-ons, and IRSA/EKS Pod Identity.

• Familiarity with GitOps practices using ArgoCD.

• Knowledge of Ingress Controllers such as Traefik and NGINX, encompassing routing, middleware, TLS, and rate limiting.

• Experience with CDNs like CloudFront and Cloudflare, including cache policies, invalidation, origins, and edge security.

• Proficient in continuous deployment CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions.

• Advanced knowledge of Linux and networking concepts: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, and load balancing.

• Preferred: experience with GCP/GKE, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, progressive deployment strategies, Kubernetes secrets management, service mesh, EKS autoscaling, FinOps, and programming languages such as Go/Python/JavaScript.
