This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +20 more states.
• Oversee the design and execution of robust, scalable, and secure AWS cloud-native solutions.
• Work in conjunction with security specialists to convert organizational security requirements into secure and compliant cloud environments.
• Create and manage infrastructure as code across various Azure and AWS accounts.
• Optimize and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
• Contribute to the infrastructure that supports Generative AI applications on domain-specific datasets.
• Automate the creation and management of both front-end and back-end applications, pipelines, and security tools.
• Establish and promote DevOps best practices and standards throughout Element 84 and its customer organizations.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams and clients on intricate operational systems.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in software development.
• At least 3 years concentrated on cloud technologies.
• Strong practical experience with infrastructure as code, including writing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex cloud configurations.
• Proficient in developing with one or more programming languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing infrastructure and services on a major cloud platform.
• Ability to document and convey architectural concepts through presentations, visual architecture representations, and white papers.
• Experience in negotiating trade-offs among security, performance, maintainability, and cost.
• Capability to multitask and prioritize work amidst competing demands and various clients.
• Extensive experience working within an Agile Development software team.
• Solid background with Linux environments.
• In-depth understanding of cloud architecture patterns and trade-offs.
• Expertise in build and deployment automation tools.
• Proficiency with infrastructure monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, AWS Config, Kibana, Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Honeycomb.
• Experience with data storage and data engineering technologies including ElasticSearch, SQL, NoSQL, DynamoDB, Redshift, Athena, or Glue.
• Familiarity with networking technologies such as CloudFront, Route53, load balancers, API Gateway, VPCs, and NACLs.
• Possession of a technical cloud certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Active NOAA CAC badge.
• Must be a US Person: either a US citizen or a legal permanent resident.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
