Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with customers to grasp their infrastructure and deployment needs.

• Implement and oversee Comet across Kubernetes and cloud environments.

• Diagnose intricate infrastructure and deployment problems related to Kubernetes, networking, cloud services, databases, and application configurations.

• Take ownership of customer issues from the investigative phase to resolution, working alongside Engineering, Support, Customer Success, and other teams as necessary.

• Create and enhance Helm charts, Terraform scripts, deployment tools, automation processes, and documentation.

• Engage in technical discussions with customers and articulate complex subjects clearly.

• Leverage AI tools for troubleshooting, development, automation, and investigation while ensuring results are validated and engineering judgment is maintained.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be located in the East or Central USA only.

• Essential to have proven customer-facing technical experience.

• Demonstrated experience using AI tools in actual engineering workflows, with the ability to critically assess and validate their outcomes.

• Strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized applications.

• Production experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.

• Strong skills in Linux, networking, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

• Experience in diagnosing production systems using logs, metrics, and monitoring/observability tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience with enterprise or self-hosted software is a plus.

• Multi-cloud or on-premises deployment experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps is a plus.

• Experience in MLOps or AI infrastructure is a plus.

• Software development experience is a plus.

• Startup experience is a plus.
