This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct visits to Fundrise properties to evaluate electrical readiness for modular compute installations.
• Analyze one-line diagrams, service capacities, transformer and switchgear ratings, feeder capacities, breaker availability, backup power, grounding, and onsite physical constraints.
• Determine necessary utility upgrades, electrical scope, long-lead equipment, permitting needs, risks, costs, and timelines.
• Oversee electrical design, contractor bidding, equipment submissions, construction, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
• Collaborate with network providers to confirm fiber routes, carrier availability, building access, redundancy, and turn-up specifications.
• Create a standard for repeatable site readiness and a succinct go/no-go investment memo for each location.
• Partner with compute, cooling, controls, and property teams to ensure installations function safely without disrupting building operations or the experience of residents and tenants.
• Keep precise as-built records, capacity documentation, commissioning paperwork, and vendor performance metrics.
• Assess sites, outline electrical infrastructure improvements, and lead the deployment of modular GPU-compute nodes from due diligence through commissioning.
• Coordinate with utilities, electrical contractors, engineering consultants, network providers, equipment suppliers, and property teams to ensure safe and reliable installations.
• 4–8 years of experience in electrical engineering, electrical construction, commissioning, critical facilities, power generation, industrial infrastructure, or data centers.
• Proficient in interpreting electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, equipment submissions, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with medium- and low-voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS/BESS, protection coordination, or power quality issues.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, schedules, and technical risks in the field.
• Willingness to travel frequently to properties throughout the U.S.
• Strong judgment, effective written communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with real estate, utility, construction, and technology teams.
• A Professional Engineer license, EIT credential, data center experience, utility coordination background, or experience in electrical contractor project engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
