This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide up-to-date and thorough knowledge of Amgen’s products while communicating clinical advantages to healthcare professionals.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, executing marketing strategies and promoting Amgen products as directed by the District Manager.
• Convey branded sales messages and carry out scheduled programs.
• Organize and follow up on medical educational initiatives.
• Meet or exceed territory sales goals through both in-person and virtual interactions.
• Foster relationships to service and oversee accounts.
• Tailor discussions and customer interactions according to individual customer needs.
• Ensure product accessibility and address or triage reimbursement challenges.
• Maintain product contracts.
• Provide insights on marketing strategies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance.
• Collaborate with the District Manager to develop territory plans.
• Work with colleagues to share best practices and promote continuous learning and growth.
• Enhance the brand throughout the sales process while prioritizing patient impact.

• Specialty Representative: Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of sales experience OR high school diploma/GED with 6 years of sales experience.
• Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field unrelated to sales OR Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field unrelated to sales OR High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field unrelated to sales.
• A minimum of two years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sectors is preferred.
• Experience in product or hospital sales within cardiovascular or diabetes therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Familiarity with related diseases and treatments is preferred.
• Knowledge of the local market is preferred.
• Established connections within the territory are preferred.
