Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer – International Suppliers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and validate both new and existing international and domestic suppliers.

• Act as the Supplier Quality Engineer within an Integrated Supplier Team.

• Ensure that the delivered products meet specified requirements.

• Execute Early Supplier Engagements and First Article Inspections following AS9102 standards.

• Conduct detailed investigations, Supplier Corrective Action Requests, and supplier audits.

• Utilize structured, data-driven methods and statistical tools to enhance supplier performance, minimize variation, and prevent defects.

• Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes, quality systems, and technical capabilities to fulfill missile production demands.

• Implement advanced quality engineering principles throughout the entire supplier lifecycle.

• Perform supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to avert quality escapes and supply interruptions.

• Create supplier quality plans, process controls, and inspection methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant quality experience.

• Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of applicable quality experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant quality experience without a degree.

• Capability to obtain a US Secret security clearance.

• Experience in supporting missile systems or defense aerospace initiatives.

• Proven experience in managing quality performance for strategic, high-risk, or highly technical suppliers.

• Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145.

• Exceptional technical writing, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

• Six Sigma Certification.

• Prior experience with MRB.

• Willingness to travel approximately 50% both domestically and internationally.
