Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and qualify both new and existing suppliers, including those from international locations.

• Act as the Supplier Quality Engineer on an Integrated Supplier Team.

• Ensure that the products delivered meet the specified requirements.

• Execute Early Supplier Engagements, First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102, conduct complex investigations, manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests, and perform audits.

• Utilize structured, data-driven methodologies and statistical tools to enhance supplier performance, minimize variation, and avert defects.

• Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes, quality systems, and technical capabilities to fulfill missile production requirements.

• Implement advanced quality engineering principles throughout the supplier lifecycle.

• Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to avoid quality escapes and supply disruptions.

• Create supplier quality plans, process controls, and inspection strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of relevant quality experience.

• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related quality experience.

• In the absence of a degree, at least 10 years of relevant quality experience is required.

• Capability to obtain a US Secret security clearance.

• Experience in supporting missile systems or defense aerospace programs.

• Proven experience in managing quality performance for strategic, high-risk, or highly technical suppliers.

• Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards, including AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145.

• Exceptional technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

• Six Sigma Certification.

• Prior experience with MRB.

• Willingness to travel approximately 50%, both domestically and internationally.
